Also opening the same day was Southland Casino Racing in West Mephis. Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort is an Arkansas racino which was built in 1905. Live thoroughbred racing from January-April is just the ticket for high pulse rates and high purses. Oaklawn Gaming is home to year-round good times with a High Limits area, Poker Room, all your favorite Vegas-style games and great food and drink. Newly expanded, Oaklawn Gaming now offers 50% more games and 50% more fun. Sep 23, 2020 The casino is small and the pay tables on the machines are poor. So there is little value there. The poker 'room' is five Poker Pro tables. They had only one game going on a busy Sunday afternoon and it was a.25/.50 no limit holden game. There is a ladies only tournament on Thursday night and sometimes a 1/2 no limit game. Food is acceptable. It looks like a casino, it has the same machines as a casino, but its not. Officially known as a 'gaming room', Oaklawn is one of those gaming venues that you visit if you have an hour or two to waste.
