The final table is set for the $125,000 buy-in Party Poker Premier League V and young UK poker player – Matt Frankland – goes into the finale of the event with the biggest stack of chips having performed best during the semi-final stages.
Matt, who qualified for the event only last week, topped Group A after four rounds of Sit ´n´ Go tournaments against Sam Trickett, Tony G, Phil Laak, Erik Seidel, Andy Frankenberger, Eugene Katchalov and Luke Schwartz.
Format Favours Frankland
The format of the final table gives Matt an advantage over the remaining players, as each player starts with 10,000 chips for each point that accumulated in the semi-final stages. As Matt collected 40 points, he will begin the final table with 400,000 chips, while Phil Laak for example (who qualified for the final table via a heads up play-off) only collected 29 points during the four rounds of Sit´ n´ Go games and will therefore start with only 290,000 chips. Each player is also awarded $2,000 for each point they collected during the qualification for the final table, so Matt is also assured of $80,000 irrespective of how he performs when the final table plays out tomorrow.

The winner of the Party Poker Premier League V not only picks up a first-place cheque for $500,000 but also a seat for the $25,000 WPT Championship at the Bellagio in May. Last year the Bellagio event was worth $1.6 million to winner Scott Seiver, who also qualified for the final table of the Party Poker Premier League V by finishing third in Group B. Matt Frankland, Phil Laak and Scott Seiver will be joined at the final table by other semi-final qualifiers Daniel Cates, Sam Trickett, Patrik Antonius, Tony G and Tom Dwan in what promises to be a highly entertaining finale to this prestigious event.
